Collection: Real Poultry

We supply a limited range of poultry here at Hill Farm, and our offering varies with the seasons. We offer roasting cockerels in autumn, so we expect these to be available around August or September. We also have stewing hens in batches around mid to late summer, and then again in autumn and early winter.

All meat is frozen as standard and will travel to you in special ice boxes to arrive in perfect frozen condition. Please note the giblets are bagged and included inside the birds - please remove these after thawing and before cooking!

We use a mixture of breeds which are suitable for eggs and meat - including Rhode Island Red and Light Sussex, and our cockerels and hens are grown slowly with lots of access to great pasture. They are fed on an organic, GM free, soya-free diet, with added surplus skim milk and whey from our dairy for depth of flavour. We feel our way of producing and rearing hens and cockerels produces an amazingly flavourful meal.
